Sim Shifter Sequential Overview
The Heusinkveld Sim Shifter Sequential is a compact and durable sequential shifter system. The Sim Shifter uses a ball spring resistance system and comes with various lengths of shifter levers as well as shifter knobs. This allows maximum adjustability.
Shifting requires an early peak force after which resistance drops, just as in real cars.
The Heusinkveld Sim Shifter is durable and compact, which allows it to be mounted and installed in the tightest simulator environments. It is designed specifically to mimic short throw sequential shifters often found in junior formula racing cars. Because of the soft end-stops for the lever, the shifter has a relatively low amount of noise when shifting through gears.
The combination of the ball spring resistance system and the early peak force simulates the feeling as if your gearbox slides into the next or previous gear when the lever is engaged.
Every shifter comes with three different levers: one straight 30 mm lever, one straight 50 mm lever and one bent 50 mm lever.
Additionally, every shifter is supplied with 3 types of plastic shifter knobs with different lengths (46 mm 90 mm). In combination with the different levers, you will have a total of 9 possible configurations. You can vary the combined length of the lever/knob assembly from 76 mm to 140 mm (from top of the main shifter unit).
The shifter is supplied with a table clamp, allowing you to connect the shifter to any table-like surface. The table clamp can be detached from the shifter. Also an alternative mounting plate is supplied, in order to assist with mounting to a structure to the side or underneath the unit. This plate fits directly onto aluminum profiles with a size up to 40 mm.
The Heusinkveld Sim Shifter Sequential has a controller board integrated in the shifter, with 2 connectivity options. It is possible to use the shifter as a standalone controller, connecting it to your pc with the supplied USB-cable (the shifter will show up as a separate device Windows). Optional is is a 4 x 2,54 female Molex Socket, which allows the user to integrate with an external controller. Note: you will need to build your own cable if you want to use this method.
