A really good rig let down by assembly issues.
This is a brilliant rig; very solid and very comfy to use for long priods with loads of adjustment. I am 6' 3'' tall, so finding the right position on a rig can be challenging and can cause back ache after prolonged use because of this. The TR8 is a joy to use and looks great.
However, the experience was let down by the assembly of the rig, mainly caused by poor alignment of the parts. Reviews of the rig I saw prior to purchasing it, said it could be easily assembled in under an hour. In reality it took the best part of a day to assemble and required g-clamps to get some of the holes to align and even then I needed to use my drill to reem out a hole that still would not align.

The screws and spring washers would not re-assemble though, so I needed to remove one of the washers from each screw to make it fit back together.
My Logitech G Pro wheel can only be fixed by 2 out of the 3 mounting holes. The wheel is very secure though and has not moved since mounting, so this isn't really an issue. I also had to put the wheel section to it's lowest setting as the G Pro wheel housing is very big (not the fault of the rig). This does mean though that my knees are very close to the bottom of the wheel housing and I do occasionally hit my knees on the sharp bracket (very painful).
My alignment issues could have been an…
